this is not going well… I’ve tried to finish the end of this strip off with more weaving… but cutting into the backing fabric was perhaps not such a good idea… it’s fraying… I just need to try and put a needle through and it splits apart… room for improvement here I think…

i sometimes tack all the raw edges down with a single strand of sewing thread using an overcast stitch to hold it all together. i think all of this looks wonderful.

thanks for taking the time to look and comment Jude… I’ll certainly be trying ‘tacking the raw edges down’… I’m so glad you think my woven cloth looks ‘wonderful’… as you (and your blog…) played a big part in the inspiration for this work… many thanks again…
